On February 1st, 2022, at 9 AM PST, Shelby American will begin accepting orders for the all-new Shelby GT500KR. Individuals with 2020 and 2021 GT500s can contact Shelby to have their mustang converted. Customers who convert their 2022s will also receive a 60th Anniversary badge signifying Shelby American's achievement. This new GT500KR will be the first since 2008 that we've witnessed another interaction of this iconic vehicle. The first was back in 1968 in which Ford offered it in both fastback and convertible, Ford dealers sold 1,570 GT500KR models in 1968 (1053 fastbacks and 517 convertibles).
In January, we will have our first look at the new GT500KR at Barrett-Jackson.

The package price, $54,995, is in addition to the price you pay for your GT500. This price point puts the final price for the GT500KR at over $127k. A bit higher if you were one of the unfortunate ones to pay a hefty additional dealer markup (ADM).
